Greetings and Salutations

Odd and Weird 1 Studios is where all of my strange ideas come together.

On YouTube, Odd in 180 Seconds or Less takes quick dives into horror, books, movies, strange history, and anything else that catches my attention. For readers looking for something darker, I share mature-rated original short stories on Reddit, while City Pixels is home to my locally inspired eerie tales—stories built around familiar places, regional legends, and the idea that something strange could be happening right down the road.

New stories and videos arrive every Saturday on City Pixels, Reddit, and YouTube, with smaller bits of weirdness appearing whenever inspiration strikes.


The Basement

The Basement is where the old horror movies live.

Every week, I feature a public domain horror film that you can watch and enjoy. Expect classic monsters, strange experiments, zombies, mad scientists, forgotten films, and plenty of movies that helped shape the horror genre.

Leigh Ann’s Spot is dedicated to the artwork of my wife, Leigh Ann.

This section features her original artwork, including drawings, designs, and several of the book covers she has created for my stories and projects.

A lot of what I create wouldn’t look nearly as good without her work, so this is her own corner of the site to show off what she creates.


Odd in 180 Seconds or Less

Odd in 180 Seconds or Less is my quick trip into the strange, creepy, forgotten, and just plain weird.

In each episode, I take a horror story, unusual piece of history, strange legend, bizarre movie, or other odd topic and try to give you the good stuff in three minutes or less.

No hour-long documentary. No twenty-minute introduction before getting to the point. Just something interesting, a little humor, and enough weirdness to hopefully make you want to know more.

Some episodes explore classic horror and literature, while others head into real-world oddities and stories you may have never heard before.

Three minutes. One strange subject. No wasted time.

The Man Behind the Weird

 I’m a Tennessee-based writer and creator with a lifelong love of horror, Appalachian folklore, urban legends, dark humor, strange history, and the unexplained.

 After more than 35 years of writing, I created Odd and Weird 1 Studios as a home for the unusual stories and ideas that have always occupied my imagination. 

My work ranges from supernatural and psychological horror to locally inspired tales set throughout Tennessee and Appalachia.

 I live in Tennessee with my wife (my best friend and better half) and two sons who are my greatest accomplishments.

When I’m not writing, I enjoy horror movies, following CreepCast on YouTube, exploring strange history, and reading authors such as J.L. Bourne, W.J. Lundy, and Allen Gamboa. 

Whether it’s a book, a short story, or something completely unexpected, I believe the best ideas often begin with one simple question: What if something strange happened right here?
